3 day Excursion Itinerary : From Fes to Merzouga Desert

​Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midle atlas mountains – Midelt

 

Begin your journey on the first day from Fes, heading towards the charming town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture and fresh mountain air. Continue through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can spot Barbary macaque monkeys. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains where you will have lunsh, passing by Berber villages and lush landscapes. Spend a calm night in Midelt or nearby , for relaxing after the day's journey .

 

Day 2: Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga desert 

After breakfast, resume your journey towards the desert, driving through the stunning Ziz Valley. Marvel at the dramatic gorges, date palm oases, and ancient kasbahs as you make your way to Erfoud, famous for its fossil-rich surroundings. Arrive in Merzouga by afternoon, where you’ll embark on a camel trek into the Sahara Desert, watching the sunset over the golden dunes. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp, where enjoying dinner under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga desert - Ziz valley – Fes

On the last day Rise early to witness the magical sunrise over the dunes before a hearty breakfast at the camp. Ride camels back to Merzouga, where you’ll have time to freshen up. Begin your return journey, making stops along the way to admire the beauty of the Ziz Valley and its surrounding landscapes, before reaching Fes where we will drop you off at your acoumidation and by that,the ending of your 3-days adventure filled with desert wonder and scenic beaut.
