

Overview
This is a 5-days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. After visiting the historical city of Marrakech, we will travel to Ouarzazate (known as the Hollywood of Africa) through the highest mountain road in Morocco, in the High Atlas Mountains. We will also visit the historic Ait Ben Haddou Palace, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site in Ouarzazate. Afterward, we will pass through the Todgha Gorges (Todra River), which are a series of limestone river canyons, or wadis, in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, near the town of Tinerhir. We will also visit the largest open museum of fossils in Erfoud city. Finally, we will reach the Merzouga desert, where we will experience Berber life, camel rides, overnight camping, and more.

5 day Excursion Itinerary : From Marrakech to Merzouga Desert
day 1 : Marrakech- Tizi N'tichka- Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
On the first day of our 5-day tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert, we will pick you up from your hotel/riad/airport. After exploring Marrakech, our journey will begin from Marrakech to the Dades Gorges. We'll cross the Tizi N'Tichka Atlas pass, offering far-reaching views across the High Atlas Mountains, to the traditional Berber villages of Telouet. Then, we'll continue to Ouarzazate to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a spectacular fortified village (Ksour). We will have lunch at Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate and continue to the Dades Valley, where we'll spend the night in a riad/hotel in the Dades Gorges.
day 2 : Dades Gorges - Tenghir - Tinjdad - Rissani- Merzouga
After breakfast, we'll leave Dades to Todra Gorges, Tinghir, and the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Berber villages are scattered along the way. We'll pass through Tinidad, Jort, and Erfoud where we'll start to feel the air of the Saharian oasis of Tafilalet then continue to Merzouga, spend a night in a riad/Hotel near the dunes.
day 3 : Desert tour By 4x4 - Camel Ride & Night In Desert
After breakfast at the hotel/riad, there are many options available to you You can go to explore the neighboring villages of Merzouga such as Hassi tobied, and Khamlia where you can hear the black musicians from Mali.
You may also enjoy an offroad drive around the dunes of Erg Chebbi and see the nomads living in tents in the desert and have lunch with a nomad family-Berber pizza in the afternoon we will ride the camels to see the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in a luxury desert camp. We will have a traditional tagine dinner, drink delicious mint tea, and listen to traditional Berber music while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert
day 4 : from Merzouga to Ouarzazate Berber villages
Early in the morning we will leave on 4X4 WD via Rissani (the cradle of the Alawite dynasty) to visit the monumental Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and Jebel Bougafer (where one of the battles against the French colonialists took place at that time). Lunch in Nkop (first village on the way). Afternoon ride on the Trail of a Thousand Kasbahs (by the way to enjoy the best part of the Draa Valley). Arrived in Ouarzazate late in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
day 5 : Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Leaving Ouarzazate in the morning, we will visit the majestic Atlas Mountains. Crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco - Tizi Tikka at 2,260 meters high, offering great views of valleys, mountains and many nearby Berber villages: Arrive at Marrakech in the evening.
